Tamworth - seems to have hardish lumps
« on: September 20, 2019, 09:29:23 pm »
Evening All, It's been a long time since I've posted on here! We have 4 tamworth males being fattened up - they're 28 weeks old and have been a joy. We will be sending them to slaughter in a couple of weeks.
They have all grown really well, great characters and have been very healthy.
One of them, who happens to be a darker reddy/ginger than his 3 brothers, seems to have non painful lumpy areas under his skin. No discolouration to skin/hair, no scabbing, no exudation. But they seem to be pretty much on his dorsal surface. You can't see them, only feel them, maybe sort of 50p size - they feel like really thick skin.
I first noticed them a couple of months ago and have been very watchful to see if there were any accompanying symptoms, but nada. No scouring, he has put on weight like the rest, always interested in food.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance
