Desperate to use up some Apples of which I have a glut I made Apple biscuits.

Apple Biscuits
8oz S/R flour
4oz Sugar
4oz Butter
1 Egg Beaten
Apple puree

pre heat oven to gas 6
Rub the fat into the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs
Add the sugar
Add enough of the egg to make a VERY STIFF  dough
With floured hands roll the dough into a tube
Cut into twelve slices
Make a small indentation in the middle of each slice without going through and place a small amount of apple in the hole.
place well apart on trays  and bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
more apple can be added when cold

They look and sound delicious.  I'm going to have a go at making some later.
