Hello from North Devon
« on: October 14, 2010, 12:31:57 am »
Hi there, I live in North Devon with my husband and young daughter!

Besides the 6 year old and 2 dogs, we have 2 GOS boy pigs, called Sausage&Bacon (to help my daughter grasp the concept) and they are almost 14 weeks old now.  We built them a fab straw house and they are doing a great job of helping me turn over the small piece of Devon that we have bought.

Have been dipping into this forum to read the threads on pig keeping and now feel confindent enough to join and ask my own questions !

Hello Wizz,

I have my first piggies just now too- I'm amazed by how well they are digging up their patch of land.

Welcome!

Welcome from West Cornwall  ;D
We had 4 GOS boys with us from April to early Aug - they were great fun and did a very good job of clearing one section of our cornish hedge - never knew what a fab bit of stonework was under the vegetation  ;D And as for the sausages, joints, bacon, chops and ham.... well.... words fail me  :D
Enjoy  :pig: :pig:
