Hi everyone
Been so busy last 10 days haven't posted anything.
Update: Split herd, 5 weaners still together but made pen smaller.
Boar, now named Homer, in own pen, Gilts, Gertie & Marge seperated to small pens ready for farrowing. Thought Marge was nesting yesterday but changed her mind, no milk yet so think we were given wrong dates. Will just have to wait!!!
Survived the deluge week before last and realised drastic action was needed to get through the winter, hence the above. Believe we are now experienced arc builders, fencers, electricians, etc.....
Have decided to build 2 indoor dry pens closer to home for future farrowing and sick pigs as this seems like it might be necessary.
You were all right when I first joined, life has definately changed. PIGS rule 
Oh yes, pullets arrived on Saturday, they settled really quickly except first night when had to pluck them out of the trees and put them in coop. Now they've got the idea

Wait till the pigs and the pullets form an alliance against you.  Then life gets really interesting.
