Part time Campsite / Glamping Wardens

A seasonal position is available on our small, relaxed glamping site in Dumfries & Galloway, South West Scotland.  It would be ideally suited to an active couple / friends who are looking for a good mixture of work with some time off to explore, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings this part the UK has to offer.  Having your own touring caravan, campervan or motorhome is a requirement.

We are looking for someone to work 4 days per week with alternating weekend shifts (onsite 24hrs).  Most working days would consist of around 5 hours of focused work (between the 2 people), with the remainder being on site, in your accommodation - handling reception, check-ins and guest enquiries, etc.

Duties to include -
Assisting with on-site activities – bike hire, fishing, segway tours
Guest reception meets, greets & general enquiries
Accommodation and site facilities cleaning & setup
Minor maintenance tasks
Groundcare

Applicant/s would require -
High standards and attention to detail
A friendly and accommodating nature, with a good customer approach
A reasonable level of fitness to deliver hour long segway tours (segways have a weight limit of 16 stone)
Comfortable using the telephone (mobile phone provided) and computer (booking system)
Practical skills for minor maintenance tasks

Your own caravan, campervan or motorhome is required.  A pitch with water, electricity and wi-fi will be supplied along with access to laundry facilities.  You could also have access to a greenhouse and small allotment area where you can grow your own fruit and vegetables if desired.  Sorry no pets.  Non smokers and non vapors only.

The season will start late March / early April 2019 and run until late October / early November 2019 - but could possibly extended over winter if desired.

Onsite we have bike hire, fishery, segway tours and livery yard, plus various farm animals - so would further suit someone who has interest in these areas.

We can offer the pitch with water, electricity and wi-fi, access to laundry facilities and allotment plus £200 per week.  There will almost definitely be scope for extra paid hours through the season if wanted – some maybe cleaning, whereas others maybe assisting with on-site activities.

If you meet the above requirements and would like to learn more, please drop us a mail with your details, current situation and past experience to info@gorsebank.com
