Hamish - Highland pet due for slaughter. Yorks
« on: October 09, 2010, 07:27:01 pm »
Hamish is a 28 month old Highland steer. He looks like most other Highland cattle with sweeping horns, long flowing red hair and is friendly and gentle. He loves being brushed and combed, and will follow you anywhere if you have a bucket; BUT Hamish is nearly 30 months old and Hamish is fat (ie ready to eat) so my husband says he's got to go to market.
So he's got 2 months left to live - Unless someone would like to buy him as a pet. He is worth £600 for meat so OH says he would sell for that. We could also sell a companion to go with him e.g young heifer for £300 or older cow who should be in calf  for £600 or something in between. All our animals are quiet and friendly, but Hamish stands out because he is exceptional. I had accepted the fact he would have to go to market untill today when a friend who is an animal psychic said she thought such a gentle animal would make someone a  very striking pet. So there you are. Anyone interested contact me on: [email protected]
By the way we're in E Yorks. Thanks for looking
