Registered Tamworth gilt from Royal Welsh Champion
« on: October 09, 2010, 11:02:13 am »
Final one from a cracking litter of eight which produced four show-standard gilts. I'm keeping two myself, another has been sold, but there's one left. Registered as pedigree with the BPA.
Unlike some breeders, I'm very fussy about what I register - they have to meet the breed standard, otherwise they go for meat. I recently won the Tamworth Champion of Champions with one of my sows, so I must be doing something right.
The mother is a Lucky Lass who won the best traditional pig class at the Royal Welsh in July. She also got a first at the Royal last year. Father is a Yorkshireman.
The Lucky Lass line has that deep-red, almost auburn coat which makes it the most distinctive Tamworth line. Please message me for pictures or more information.

Forgot to say - I also have for sale an older registered Jacqueline gilt which has been running with a Glen boar (his mother is my Royal Welsh champion).

The gilt is just over a year old and has been shown successfully this year. She is friendly and well-handled. Her sister is the current Tamworth Champion of Champions.

Offers considered, as I'm trying to get a wider range of bloodlines and have a few Jacquelines at the moment.

The boar is also for sale.
