Hi from Perthshire
« on: September 27, 2010, 09:38:43 pm »
Hi everybody

Hello from wet and dreich Perthshire today.  I have, a son and a daughter, 1 dog, Josie, 8 rabbits, and 2 kittens.  I am looking after my sisters horses this week while she suns herself abroad!   8) Used to have a New Forest Pony and would like another one in the near future.   :horse: Have always wanted a dartmoor pony too.  Used to keep chinese geese till mr fox though they would be a nice snack!  Kept texels for a few years but they went with the X!  Would like to get some rare breed sheep, but will need to investigate further, oh and id like some chickens, and a new man might be useful!!  ;)

And I had a great day at Rosemarys on Saturday  :)

Cheers

Hi! from north Wales.  Note how you put 'new man' and the end of the list!! Very clever that.  I think if I had to chose between sheep and OH the sheep might be first ;D  Seriously though, it is difficult to run a smallholding without one - things tend to start falling apart; buildings, vehicles etc etc..... Sheep are easier to deal with though!!

Hello and welcome,

I used to live in Kinross, so I know most of Perthshire pretty well. My best friend also works in McCash's Country Store, so if you have ever been in there, you might have met her!

Im about 10 miles from Perth, almost in Fife!  A cleaner would also be on my wish list, lol!  ;D Only want a few sheep, help keep the grass down, rotate them with the ponies, and hope they dont die, discovered they are quite good at that!!  ::) New OH would be useful tho! :)

Hi, I'm a newbie on here too and if you're 10 miles from Perth and almost into Fife then you can't be more than 10 miles from me!

I have Highlands rather than NFs  ;) and I'm also toying with the sheep and chickens but I haven't had an OH recently so not really missing one other than that it would be good to have someone to do the manual work about here occasionally!!
