cabbage
« on: October 07, 2008, 05:51:14 pm »
We started to clear out our garden and prep it for winter and I finnaly pulled all of our cabbage or as it was called around here "wow thats odd looking lettuce". Whom ever went shopping for our plants this year did a wonderfull job of getting 10 cabbage plants instead of lettuce.... not sure who it was :-X but when we find him....  ::) Anyway, i decided that instead of trying to intice any of my animals to have a go at it I would try my hand a sauerkraut. Nobody in my house will eat it otherwise and i love the stuff . Turns out the recipie is very simple and easy to do. It should be ready in about two weeks I think, so far smells great and I can't wait to try it.  now if i can only find some thing to do with 50 pounds of sauerkraut......  :-\

Has anyone else on here ever made there own?
