todays the first day we have had 3 eggs from our 6 chooks

thats 50% of our flock layed today, ONE of the eggs was huge enough to make my wifes eyes water!!!

considering they are older birds of unknown provinence I am pleased with 50% hopefully it will improve still though!!!

we're finally getting enough production we're having to think of ways to use them up, not quite at the point of giving them away yet!!!

they are yummy

quite pale yolks but good flavour,

we're also having to get used to how long they need to be left for certain uses...

I agree with how long they have to be left for certain uses. Have you tried to peel a fresh hard boiled egg. ;) Good luck with the chooks.
