Hello everyone

So glad we've found this forum, we're first time small holders, that's very small holders! We have 3 acres with 3 orchards a paddock, an allotment and some woodland.

We're planning to become as self sufficient as possible in 5 years time, well, that's the plan so we'll see how it goes, looking forward to reading about everyones experiences and adventures.

Hello and welcome to TAS.  Whereabouts are you?  We are in Southern Scotland and keep rare breed sheep, laying hens and a handful of Shetland geese (which do nothing but make a mess).  We grow lots of fruit and veg, with the help of a polytunnel, and spend a lot of our time caring for our local environment.  We have never tried to be self sufficient but we produce a lot of the food we consume, and more than enough wool for me to process  :spin: :knit:
