iv got a pen off quail for sale 1 is F1 the other is F2  40 hens in 1 and 25 in the other cock birds are 3 to 1 so  about 100 birds and some specials  golden Italian, range, tuxedo, white & cinnamon . they make about 25 pounds on eggs and 3 each for meat .you can breed F1  TO  f2 not related and e bay sales 50 eggs  £10 to 12 pound eggs .i no its the end off the season but the price will be right selling the lot for 200 pound so you can sell erley next yere at double the price . I'm not fit at the moment hart trouble .so this would be profitably .they lay at 6 weeks full eggs in week 10 you can sex at 2 weeks .iff you put 10 in a box you are looking at 32 pound in local sales so a good bet in a small space  .you could also have the 150 egg incubator iff needed and breeding boxes so you woulent need eney think to start .

I have thought about quails too but the garage that would be ideal as it has a concrete floor, is going to be used for something else, my daughter had some but they died/ were killed, she loved them and would have more but they are in Leicestershire, her partners dad used to breed them in India, years ago!!!  Hard to admit to yourself some things change as we age, I know that feeling, I worry too about things going wrong with me, my legs still keep going weak, have had an X Ray and off to get results tomorrow......anyway, you do work very very hard so a bit less work and a bit more fun should help!!
