Mmmmmn I think Ill buy some farm gate eggs and give hatching a go for fun. Rather like not knowing what gender a baby is untill its born, it will be interesting to see what I get, if anything.  ;) ;D

You would get a good  selection from my eggs if you hatched them. with all my different cockerels involved - it would be like a lucky dip of eggs!!!

the problem is it costs as much to rear a poor layer/meat bird as a good one, so you would be best to look at the parentbirds and decide... as a lot of bantam cockerals are a complete waste of time and cash along with some other breeds........ its probably nothing to do with this country ie fertile eggs for eating its probably EU. everything else is

Tried to hatch some Waitrose quail eggs...
Not a brilliant hatch but I have four healthy chicks from 24 eggs March 2018
