40th birthdays
« on: July 31, 2010, 11:39:39 pm »
My daughter is 40 in November - can hardly believe it is that long - I well remember that day and a half lol

Anyone got good ideas for a present for her?  I am going to do a scrapbook and a special birthday card but am stuck for gift ideas.

How about a big family party with a hog or lamb roast. We did one (lamb) last year for my in-laws Golden anniversary. Got the Lamb directly from the abattoir and cooked it in an ancient bread oven in a neighbours garden.

The kids (well me but you know how it is) got Diana a Pandora bracelet with a couple of charms. what a fantastic thing it is coz you can keep changing or adding charms in the future.
Then i took her to a spa for the day and then we had a big party at home which was very nice.

What a year though, i have had 4 40ths & 2 50th's!!

Take her out to James' for sunday afternoon tea - or give her a gift voucher for a massage, I'd love that any day! :&>

I was thinking of taking them back up there, Kerstin, but will want to give her a gift too.
