sarcoptic mange

Any help would be appreciated, I have 6 dogs, they started showing symptoms of sarcoptic mange about 3 mths ago, they were all treated with advocate, their sofa's burned, and bedding washed on boil wash, all areas they frequent(as far as possible) scrubbed. the advocate was repeated 4wks later and all was well, however 2 of them have started biting at themselves again, ::) and I suspect the others are feeling itchy, (we have a fair few foxes here)I have treated the sore bits with benzyl benzoate which seems to help. but just wondering if there is anything else anyone can suggest, as the advocate is soooo expensive, which is fine if we get rid of it but not if it keeps reappearing!! Seems to be the longer coated ones start suffering first strangely enough, (they are regularly frontlined)

Once more Diatom Earth will help get rid of the mites in bedding, dust round floor surrounds too.  Have you tried Dermisil?  It's supposed to be really good although I've not seen SM on any of my dogs so haven't tried it - just found this website http://www.dermisil.com/products/how_fast/mange.asp?gclid=CNiHvNWw9aICFSCY2Aod01bjhA

Good luck whatever you try, it's horrid for the dogs.

We used Aludex wash at work, its POM though so you would need a prescription.
