Peterborough wanabe smallholder!
« on: May 21, 2010, 02:03:42 am »
Hi,

What a great forum and site.  I live in Peterborough, have dreamt about my small holding for years, but think I've still got about 9 years to go before it becomes a reality!  I've got chickens in the garden though, and an allotment 2 min's walk from the house, so it's not all bad!!

An allotment and chickens sounds like a good start.  9 years will pass in a flash, honestly.

Welcome, I suppose you have  got a little smallholding!!! Allotments are very sort after now, I did have one but it was too hard for us to keep up, that was at the bottom of our garden. I lived in Market Harborough for a while and 2 of my daughters still do so I pass through peterborough when I visit them on the train!!!

Hi and welcome. It took me a very long time to get the land that I wanted but it is worth the wait and you have a really good start with your allotment and your chickens
