pink milk?
« on: May 28, 2016, 09:24:21 am »
I've taken my first milk from a bb×jersey heifer this morning. One of the quarters had slightly pink milk. Is this normal? The whole udder is not hot or red ans she was quite happy for me to milk her.
She calved 8 days ago.

They sometimes have a little blood in the milk after calving. Just keep milking as normal and it should gradually get less

Thanks sbom, I've seen it before with a dexter we had, this one has lots more milk so I'll keep an eye on her.
