Commercial yoghurt cabinets wanted!
« on: April 08, 2016, 02:03:18 pm »
Hi
I am looking for commercial yogurt making cabinets, as when the units are set up I will be making a lot of yoghurt as well as mozzarella. I have looked everywhere on google for people who sell them in the UK, also ebay which isn't much help at all, and there is no one in the UK supplying them which i can find. Does anyone have any or know of anyone who has any at all or companies who sell them in Britain? It is rather urgent as the units are nearly ready and going to be signed off soon!
Thanks

I worked in a dairy for a while, making a whole load of products.  The yoghurt was made directly in the plastic pots in which it was sold, so all that was needed was a heated vat for mixing, and an incubator/oven.

Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Could you contact another small producer to see how they do it and where they got their equipment.
Isn't there a goat dairy your way?

It is possible to make your own. A yoghurt cabinet just needs to be a place to store the pots of yoghurt that will maintain the appropriate temperature for incubation.

I work at a dairy and we are just about to branch into yoghurt, we  plan to use the pasteuriser for incubation and put the yoghurt into pots which will then be ready for sale so we won't require a yoghurt cabinet.
