elderly duck's eye problem
« on: March 30, 2016, 11:19:45 am »
our oldest has acquired an eye issue we don't seem to be able to shift. She's been seen by the vet, is isolated and has had 2 lots of antibiotic eye ointment. one eye is worse than the other. The medication improves it but it always seems to come back, the eye sinks in and she brings over her white lid. The area around the eyes seem quite rosy. I noticed that the wee feathers around her eyes (and neck) seem ragged but maybe she is just rubbing them. Has anyone experienced anything like this and if yes, what is it?? Before I take her to the vet again for another costly trial and error medication....

I use Brolene eye drops for eye infections. You could try it, if is doesn't help it won't harm.
