Poorly ewe with lump on lady bits (not prolapse?)
« on: March 01, 2016, 07:39:16 pm »
Hi all

4 yr old Texel x Lleyn didn't come for cake last night - but the Lleyns can be quite aloof, but when I saw her tonight she looked down.  Got her inside, she is on her feet but in obvious pain, head in the pen corner, not interested in food.  Scanned for a single, due in 3 weeks time.  Bagged up though.  She has a lump about the size of a medium potato to the side of her vagina, it is soft and fluidy with a slight yellow cast.  No smell of infection.  Nothing protuding from the vagina itself.

Obviously we will ring vet tomorrow, and my son is on his way over to have a look and we'll give her some betamox in case its an abscess (which is all I can think of)

Any ideas please?  Thanks.
