Grow Your Own Grub

Could your veg patch satisfy Nigel Slater?

The BBC is looking for people to take part in the second series of Simple Suppers, so if you'd love to have Nigel visit your patch and rustle up something tasty with your produce, get in touch.

Email your details to [email protected] or give her a ring on 0117 9747499.

that was the other one - HFW, wasn't it? Dandelion syrup (tried it, nice!) dandelion wine(Laura tried it, nice, she said!), dandelion coffee (my gran told me. not tried it yet), but I still shiver thinking of the slug omelett!!! Don't your birds like the slugs, Rosemary? :&>

Actually, we don't have a slug problem in areas where the hens go - and that's almost everywhere! But I tried to think of what I'd like least to eat.

I don't mind dandelions - I mowed round them this morning as I was told they were good bee food!

Ooh, maybe I'll stop pulling the heads off then.  My own personal bee keeping teacher is due to visit me soon. ::)
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age
