Can anyone recommend an affordable egg washer for around 50 eggs a day. There are so many on the market and I'm not sure how they all perform. Any advise would be great

I sell eggs from the farm gate and find the occasional mucky one, which we use in the house, but if the nest boxes are well bedded with fresh shavings and eggs collected regularly I find the eggs stay clean.

I am pretty sure that washing eggs for sale is illegal.

Hens cover their eggs in a natural "bloom" which protects them from bacteria getting through the porous shell.  By washing you are opening them up to infection.

A wipe with a dry cloth is best.

My understanding was that the egg washers you get are for cleaning eggs that are to be incubated.
