I'm waiting for a heifer to calve, so have to be up at this ungodly hour...but what's your excuse...or can't you sleep for the excitement of your immanent move?

I dont sleep farmer for 2 reasons unfortunately

Mum has dementia and wanders areound at night and so wakes me. 

Just recently its the excitment of the move and plans whorling around in my head.

I would much rather be up for a birth. Its special in the middle of the night when its just you and the animal and all else is quiet.
