re homing tomcat Shropshire
« on: June 22, 2015, 04:08:06 pm »
Hello all,
has anyone got any advice please.
My mother has recently had to move in with my sister due to failing health.
She has a black and white tomcat which she took in as a stray some years ago. She has had it neutered and it is up to date with injections, worming etc.. It is just not getting on in his new surroundings or with my sisters dog so it needs re-homing.
The main problem is that he is not very friendly so re-homing will be difficult as most people want a lap cat.
She does not want it to be put to sleep but it needs to go somewhere. She lives in Telford, Shropshire.
Any ideas/takers?
Thanks

Try Cat's Protection League?

I am sure someone will take him - most of mine are not lapcats, and I have a lot.  Although the one I inherited from an old lady likes to sit on knees.  Perhaps he would suit a smallholding, if he had shelter.

if he's already been neutered then don't describe him as a tom-cat.. just say male cat.
is there a cat protection league or similar rescue you could ask for advice?
also phone the vet he's registered with and ask them if they have any idea.. they might put an advert up in their waiting room.. worth a try anyway.
good luck.
