what to do with the wool?

Very depressed at the idea of using lovely fleece as insulation   :o

So we went through the 'journey' - drove our fleece to the mill at Launceston, then drove the yarn to the hand weaver at Bovey Tracey, and then collected our lovely, uniquely designed, undyed throws....

That's amazing!
What a great way to use your fleeces.

They are lovely .... such a shame that this production is still so cottage industry that the final product has to cost so much ... I have friends here who did the same .. but struggled to sell.   Good luck with this

Don't wrestle with pigs, they will love it and you will just get all muddy.

Aaaw Brendon! We nearly got married on another thread...does that qualify me for a discount on your lovely throws??

Only joking! You have a beautiful website.
If you do as well as Selina Scott I will marry you!!

Oh, thank you all for such lovely comments.  Very appreciated.
Backinwellies, you are so right, and it is such a shame that these processes cost such a HUGE amount - I guess that there aren't many foot operated looms left in existence....?  We keep telling ourselves that it's a good thing to be supporting all these associated industries ( and it is!), but wouldn't it be lovely if we could all be producing excellently beautiful and useful woolly things, at a price which we'd all happily pay.
Better get in some more practice Bionic (btw, TAS has finally broken my spirit and I've begun using the evil smileys... - as you said I would when I first introduced myself here.....)
And Kimbo, careful with your reckless promises of marriage - I used to be a divorce lawyer  :roflanim: :roflanim: :roflanim:

Anyway, happy to offer 10% discount to all TASers (but I know that they're still expensive even with that!)
