Hello everyone!  Jheri here.  Mum to the Hawthorne Pack of Mike (partner) George and Tempy (dogs) Pixie (cat) seven chickens, ten quails, innumerable fish and sneaky mice around the house. I have been following the forums for a while now and have just got the courage to join in. We have been keeping backyard chickens for several years and have just hatched seven quails out of eight eggs.  I make my own bacon and butter and Mike is good with beer and wine (making and drinking)  We are currently experimenting with aquaponics to grow food and clean our pond at the same time we would like to use the pond for growing food fish, not just large goldfish (oh, we have raised goldfish hatchlings as well so we're pretty pleased with ourselves as parents). We are seriously looking to expand our operations, so if anyone out there, particularly in north Wales or Anglesey knows of a piece of land, about two acres would do to start with, going for a reasonable price we would love to hear about it!  This is a community that I really feel at home in.

Hi and welcome   I'd be interested to hear more about your aquaponics set up as I'm interested in trying this  ;D

Thanks for the welcome everyone.  No, unfortunately, LadyK, we are in Doncaster, but looking for land, somewhere near you, or on Anglesey would be good .  Happy to share info, Clydesdale clopper, I think you can see my email address.  call me.
