Bantams or interesting breeds for sale Moray?
« on: April 13, 2015, 02:08:31 pm »
Hi all

I am in Morayshire in Scotland and am looking for some Bantams and interesting chickens to rear in our woods. I am struggling to find anyone in the area selling anything very much other than the usual high-laying breeds. Would be grateful to hear if anyone has or knows of any interesting birds for sale in north east Scotland.
Many thanks, Henry.

You should look at Scots Greys, come in large fowl and bantam-the bantam eggs are a pretty good size too. There's quite an active Scots Grey Chicken page on Facebook-as well as the Scots Grey Poultry Club page that might put you in touch with local breeders. They're pretty hardy and long lived.
