Put the geese in last night, one missing, wandered round, found her on a nest I didn't know about. picked her up (diversionary tactic with one hand, grab her neck with the other, now safe to pick up    ).
Anyway took her nearer her shed put her down, straight back to the nest, I wondered if she just wanted to lay so went back to the house for half hour, then went back for her, still there, worried about fox, I picked her up, walking back to her shed I heard a thump, yup, she'd popped an egg out while I was carrying her. Poor girl what a time to be disturbed. egg safe on grass.
