holiday swap query
« on: December 29, 2014, 12:58:51 am »
Hi all, Just putting this out there for now as we just want to see whether theres any interest. I can find some old posts that talk about what a wonderful idea swapping for a week or so would be. like others im sure we almost never get away, largely because its really difficult to find someone to take on the animals.so how much interest would there be in swapping and having a week in mid devon keeping an eye on our small flock of sheep, 12 hens a couple of cats and possibly a couple of weaners. happy to take on something similar, not massively fussy about where but Scotland, wales, Yorkshire or even anywhere nearer as long as its beautiful and rural. as I said just soundingn out interest for now. cheers

I think this is a great idea  (change is as good as a rest!).

Dan I wonder if this could have its own category for interested people?

You look quite high up devonlad.

I think it's a good idea- I don't do lots of relaxing at home because you look around and see something else that needs done, whereas if you're in someone else house, that's fine! Even going to the in laws house is like a holiday for me!

We would be interested in this idea as well. Just joined and was browsing the forums. We are on the Llyn Peninsula, North Wales.  Have 15 acres, with chickens, geese, guinea fowl, alpacas, mini donkeys and a few cats and an orchard. Possibly a couple of pigs depending on the time of year. Have a sort of website if anyone interested in checking us out.
