My vet practice is having a lot of success with persistent foot infections using Zactran. If you haven't heard of it before, it may be because it is normally used to treat calf pneumonia! Anyway, a single injected dose resolved the problem with my ram in 4 days that Alamycin LA  couldn't. He had stopped working with his painful foot but soon resumed once he was better.

I'll give the tylenol a couple of weeks then if no progress I'll try this - sounds like it does the job! Culling her is a last resort for me, if necessary I'd rather put her in with our 'grass cutting' flock

I had the vet out this weekend for various bits and bobs and he's now given me some Tylenol 600 - is this the same as the mytocil?

Anyhow, she's had a jab on the tylenol - (and so did I when she started bouncing around  )

So no, Tylenol is not the same as Micotil.  Because if you'd jabbed yourself with Micotil you would now be dead.   Which is why it's vet-administered only.

According to what I read, Tylenol is basically paracetamol, so is giving her some pain relief.

I jabbed myself with Micotil once (error) probably less than 1ml. It was snowing and the circulation in my hands was pretty much zero couldn't really feel or move them properly (hence it happened) but it stayed in a bleb in my finger, I did the stupidist thing possible and sucked it out then immediately thought - Is it orally available!? And did a lot of spitting (farmer thought I was mental - might be right)
It doesn't taste good but did clear up my footrot.

I read similar- including that there is a version for humans with colds? :/ I think I'm going to call out another vet as whilst pain relief will be nice for her, it isnt going to fix her feet!

6 days of noroclav before Christmas combined with saltwater and terramycin and she's back out with the others  Quite missing having a pet sheep to feed nuts to!

Bandaged the foot for two days (replacing every day) to give her a break and put some lime on the floor.

Thanks for the help- never got to the bottom of whether it was footrot or not, but nice to have everyone helping with their advice!
