I moved my temporary run (containing 15 hens) yesterday. Suprisingly the snow helped rather than hindered as I was able to just slide the run over the top of it instead of it digging in to the grass.

They now have the 8'X8' run and a fenced off area beyond it (I want it clearing so I can plant veg early next year)

Funny thing is, only one has actually left the run... The rest are just stood inside looking gormless.

It begs the question, why did I bother?

I could watch them for hours! Each one has their own little quirk... and they're still giving me 4 eggs a day between them so I can't complain. I'd expect them to stop at this time of year, and especially with this snow, but my trusty Marans are still going at their usual pace
