wanted-silkie/light sussex bantam hen/pullet, Lanark
« on: October 01, 2014, 10:31:48 am »
managed to come home from the Smallholders Festival with a white silkie cockerel-he was the last one left or I would have bought a pair. He will need some company of his own over the winter so looking for a white silkie hen/pullet(s) or maybe a silkie cross. This strain is apparently between bantam and LF so happy to take advise on whether bantams/LF would be ok/better.

I am between Lanark and Biggar, can get to Lanark mart easily-don't really want to buy from auction though.

he's white though and depending on who you talk to, offspring won't be sex linked. I did think about breeding goldtops, talked myself out of it and then impulse bought this one! Just trying to get all my stock sorted out for winter and will give the goldtop project more thought next year.
