Worming geese and chucks
« on: July 05, 2014, 11:11:17 pm »
Hi,

Can anyone tell me what age I should give my geese and chucks their first wormer? I have Flubenvet powder to mix in with their food (although the geese eat a lot of grass now so am i correct in thinking they need Levamisole?). The chucks are 14 - 15 weeks and the geese 8 - 9 weeks but huge!

Many thanks

I would say now is a good time. they aren't babies so the medication should pass through them ok. I use Fluben from time to time. Does it have a age on it? If you aren't sure you could try the HArkers Mectin drops that worms and lices too. Note it doesn't worm all types of worms but is good for small birds/young birds
