Hi all,

Been lurking for a few days so thought I would stick my head round the barn door and say "Hello"!
Living in Essex and have about 2 acres.  Keep chickens, goats and pigs and love the outdoor life.

Seems like there are some friendly bunch here!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the warm welcome.  Snoopy, I have kept GOS for fattening for about 4 years now. Was tempting to breed but didn't quite have the correct setup (or guts) to take the plunge.
I now have barns and pens ready and have bought my first breeding trio of Kune Kune's. Quite different to what im used to but a great breed nonetheless.  Im hoping for the pitter patter of tiny trotters some time in March.

Fingers crossed

Good luck with the kunes Stanley, thats my plan too, though ours may be born a little earlier... and Roxy is first on the list for piglets!!

Post some piccies of yours, I just love 'em. (My boar Murphy is the most handsome in the world... even though he's a b**gger!)

Will try and get some pictures this weekend.  The Colonel has a fanastic nature, my border terrier jumps all over him and the pair of them run around the field together, and his great with the kids.  Tilly just spends all her time looking for food and Lilly just follows me round like a dog.  I've only had them two weeks but it feels like they have been around forever.

I havent seen him do the business yet but im at work until it gets dark so its going to be hard recording the dates!!

Hi Stan,
Only joined today myself but seem a good crowd.

What part of Essex are you from? I was an Essex girl myself before moving to "sunny Wales" 6 years ago and it took a while to adapt, (white stilleto's and mini skirts aren't good for mucking out pigs!!!)  :D

Look forward to seeing you around the forums
