rumpless tufted araucana for sale-South Lanarkshire

Hi
I need to downscale the poultry right now, too much else on and too much other work needed on the property to keep two different breeds well.

rumpless tufted araucana lay blue to blue/green eggs. They are cold hardy and good layers. I have one silver/gold ducking male who is tufted (2013), two tufted pullets (partridge) and two tuftless hens (dark partridge/mahogany). None of them are show standard but will make good breeding stock, they come from a German line (breed is huge in Europe) and their breeder has had a lot of success in the show ring and with eggs. This combination of colours should produce gold and silver duckwings.

There is a move within the breed club to have partridge as a standard colour but if you're not into showing, they're a good source of coloured eggs in a practical breed who keep laying well into their 4th year. Despite not having a tail they are pretty good fliers. There are really not many about so the chances are you'd do well showing if you fancied having a go anyway. If you scroll down the the bottom of the page linked below, you'll see a pic of on of the hens. The tufted gene is lethal when homozygous. I am quite happy to sell a trio of the cockerel and two tuft less hens if someone prefers and keep the younger ones-or will sell the whole lot.I am open to offers but would like them to go to a home that will breed and give them enough room.
