Before You Begin
#1. Before you use a stain removal method you need to scrape off any excess chocolate that is on the stain. This will decrease the likelihood that stain will spread. The easiest way to do this is to let the chocolate dry, then put the garment in the refrigerator or freezer for 30 minutes to an hour. If the garment is too bulky to do this, you can lightly rub ice over the stain to harden it. Then, remove the garment and carefully scrape off the excess chocolate with a knife.
Hot Water
#2. After you have scraped off the excess chocolate, run warm or hot water (depending on the fabric) through the chocolate stain from the back side of the stain. It is important you do this from the back so the chocolate does not get pushed further into the fabric.
#3. After you have done that, pre-soak the stain for up to 30 minutes in liquid dish detergent, like Dawn, and hydrogen peroxide together. There is no exact measurement, but a little more peroxide to soap works best. Test the mixture on a hidden spot on the garment, like an inside seam, to make sure it will not affect the fabric or dye. wash as usual. The stain will be gone. This mixture works on garments previously washed with chocolate stains. The hydrogen peroxide needs to be fresh in the mix or the solution isn't as effective.
