I remember the goose grease for your chest, although we only ever had a goose once ;D ;D, I remember the burners for whoping cough or soar throats, not sure what they were called either, a cross between, Fry's balsam, Eucalyptus, Vic and camphor, cause the good old chicken soup, and honey and lemon are still going strong!!

When i was young mum used this on me but the thing was now as a 'balsam oil burner' in our family not sure the proper name

Warts  :( - rub with a small piece of raw meat for three morning before getting out of bed, on the third day bury in the garden (must be on a full moon). By the time the meat has rotted the wart will be gone  :o

Something similar for me but it was a cut in half tatty maybe it down to different areas being from south Wales

docks on nettle stings like some one has said.

My nan remedy to everything was sweetheart stoat or Macinsons *blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh*

Even when i was younger i can remember her trying to 'force feed me it'

I'll ask tam his aunties remedies once the football match has finished lol

Patrolieum jelly was a cure all.
A nice cuppa tea sorted many a illness for nan.
infered heat lamp.

Dad's mum was a pint of heavily salted water if he complained of feeling sick, drunk straight down.

Yes Rosemary - it was that malt extract, I can't remember the name on the bottle, but it was huge, and I used to be wishing it was empty all the time, cause I hated the stuff, but I was only a wee tot at the time ;D

Also remember my Dad trying to get me to drink raw eggs - couldnt do it though - yuck

We used to have some really smelly stuff that I loved the smell of, to get the sticky bit of those
old fashioned sticky plasters off your leg, I always had cut knees - lived outside either on roller skates
or my bike - scabby knees haha - I think it was a sort of Ether - I know it got banned and you cannot buy
it now.

Eye drops - hated them - we always got styes on our eyes when we were kids, horrid things, everyone at school had them on and off all our childhood - don't see it now - it must have been a deficiency thing or something in the water pre chlorine that caused them maybe???

The sandman too, whatever happened to him - was it cause we slept in drafty places? Cold? Damp?

My daughter never had the sandman visit her and sticky her eyes up all the time   lol  ;D ;D ;D

eye styes mum used to use her gold ring, rub on it and then it would go away.

I think i used to get them because my hair was wild and untaimable (still is) and hair went in my eyes all the time. Why i wear a hat most of the time lol

I had loads of freckles on my nose and face when I was little
and once I was 13 or 14 I wished I could get rid of them.

A friend told me that if you put lemon juice on them, they would fade - so
I smelt of lemon juice for a while - never noticed much difference though  ;D ;D ;D
