Hey, didn't say we didn't drink....have you seen the price of a pint of guiness!!! Gotta get back into brewing our own. The nettle beer worked real well, real quick! Nd the hedgerow wines were a little too alcholic........

Cavan is an amazing county, sooo much water there, lakes, rivers, locks, hasn't it got the nick name of a thousand lakes (or similar)? We went every year to Cavan for summer, mum  came from Gowna. Bril fishing and clean air. Your so lucky.

Hiya Ciaran. There's so much water in Cavan cause its always raining!! lol Apparently there's a lake for every day of the year, nd a million midges to go with it!
Yes we're very lucky cause on a sunny day there's no place more beautiful!! Nd the hedgerows are still full of bounty.?

I'd heard the lake for every day thing as well - and plenty of rivers to go on top of that.  Fishing the stretch of water that connects the two lakes at Killykeen is one of the most relaxing days imaginable if you get the weather for it :-)
