Hi wonder if anyone can help

Having been bought an incubator for birthday  now have eggs ready to hatch.....although have kept chooks for some time now never had babies
and have read about medicated chick crumb  which i cant get here  and coxoid which is not for use with potential meat birds. What do i need to give them as some form of prevention please...many thanks

I've hatched chicks and raised from bought in day olds. We don't feed a feed with antibiotics and have never had any problems. Routine feeding of antibiotics contributes to resistance.

Would you advise/consider apple cider vinegar at all?

I'm afraid we don't with the layers...in fact we don't give them anything other than wormer

when we have new hatched chicks we hard boil eggs, pass them through a sieve and then feed the crumbs to the chicks. This gives them a good start and you can start to mix with chick crumbs from day 2 and then probably just crumbs after that
