Hi Linda  and welcome to TAS.  We were on holiday in China with our kids last year - all over, Bejing, Xian, Chengdu, Guillin and Shanghai which was the most European of the cities and very impressive.  Tell us a bit about yourself, are you a smallholder?  :sunshine:

Hi Linda

I worked in China for a couple of months in the early 80s.  I would think it's all rather different now!  We were based near Xi'an, but I had a few days in Beijing on the way in and a day in Hong Kong (still British then) on the way out.  We switched aircraft at Shanghai, I think, but didn't leave the airport.
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Wow, I loved Shanghai but only spent a few days working there. Tell us a bit more about yourself
Life is like a bowl of cherries, mostly yummy but some dodgy bits
