wev used our puppy crates for piglet, rabbit and hen transport cages.
but now our big crates are being used as haylage racks for the goats. working really well to say  they are just stood on the floor and not suspended. they take a weeks supply at a time.  no problems at all.

At lambing time, I had a big one attached to the back of the quad with bungees to put lambs in for taking out to the field, after the gate in the front of the trailer to separate ewes from lambs broke.

I use mine as "emergency ward hen" if I have a sicky that needs a bit of tlc.

Yes - same here. Very useful… and ours fold down flat when not in use so they are out of the way

I sometimes put logs in mine  , only the sticks for lighting fires so 1 they dry out better and 2 the dogs do not steal them, after all, sticks do not grow on trees!

I bought a dog crate when Drum was a puppy. I hummed and hawed about it, because it wasn't especially cheap, but I went for it. Used it for six months for him as a puppy. Then got a kitten, so used it for him. Then got another puppy, so another 6 months for that.... Take it to shows with us for keeping the dog in at times if the weather is hot. Its also been used for transporting pigs, goat kids, ducks and chickens. One of the most useful things I've ever had. Oh and I've also used it as a table with a bit of wood on the top. Brilliant things.

I use mine for broody hens, it folds flat when not needed and is easy to clean. Just the job!

I have turned mine upside down, put shade on the top and around and used them as rabbit runs in the summer that the rabbits cannot dig out of

Yesterday mine was used to put an injured hedgehog in (with towels for warmth) until I could get it to the vet. Room to also put some food and water and protect it from the dog!

I like that idea Shygirl for the hay, that's a use I've not tried before and it sounds good.  I have 2 which are currently poised ready in the duck capturing area so I can get them to the poultry auction this Thursday at Lanark.
