Hello from the Carse
« on: October 05, 2013, 04:04:56 pm »
Afternoon all,

Just a wee hello from the Carse of Gowrie.
We moved out here earlier this year.
Sadly we have no 'land' but a good sized garden.
Gardens a blank canvas at the moment, veg beds to be built (hopefully) over the winter as we had to give up our allotment when we moved.
The good lady has mentioned chooks for next year - 'we'll see' said I!
The dream is to have some land but hopefully all in good time.

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

We're not far from you, just outside Carnoustie. I've cycled through the Carse a few times (nice and flat, great when the wind's in the right direction!) and visited Inchyra last week for the first time, which was lovely.

You should get some chooks - nothing like your own fresh eggs!

Hello and welcome from Carmarthenshire   Yes, I am another one for chickens. It's great to get your own eggs and the chickens can be very entertaining

Welcome    You'll enjoy it here.  Lots of good advice

Deffo get some chucks.  I would go for three POL commercial hybrids first.  The should give you lots of eggs and be fairly hassle free - a good introduction to the good life
