East Durham College has teamed up with Bill Quay Community Farm in Gateshead for a new full time Level 2 Diploma in Animal Care. It starts at the end of September 2013.
Extract from the leaflet reads:
This very popular one year introductory level course could help you on your way to a job working within animal welfare and rescue, boarding kennels and catteries, pet stores or grooming parlours.
You may also have the opportunity of progressing onto our Level 3 programme in Animal Management (at our Houghall Campus) and an even wider range of animal care occupations.
This course has a good balance of practical and theoretical studies. Subject areas include small animal health, welfare, accommodation, feeding, and behaviour - plus caring for farm animals.
