do you need a licence

 :wave: i know you need to have a licence if you want to keep ostrich
but do you need one for rhea ?
and dose anyone here keep them
if so what do you use them for
we will get there

 :wave: no dont need a license for rhea, some people i know have them just to sell eggs for hatching and some breed them to eat as meant to be low in cholesterol and very minimal fat.
1 cat,2 thoroughbred horses,1 dog, handfull of bird various types and hoping to get sheep again

brill thanks for that rhea here we come lol
I've been told the same thing about the meat
and been told the eggs are about 6 chicken eggs but very rich in flavour more like a duck egg
we will get there

As far as I'm aware the above information is perfectly correct you don't need a license for a rhea.This has always surprised me are ostriches really that much different to an ostrich.
Some one up the road from me has rheas they really don't look much smaller.

i wouldnt eat there eggs as some people with pay upto about 10-15 pound an egg sometimes more
