Soooo.... how did you come to buy a property in Bulgaria?
Well (are you sitting comfortable) about 6 years ago we were having a drive around what was Yugoslavia and some of the old eastern block country's, we popped up to Romania and then cut down to Bulgaria. This was the end of May beginning of June and Bulgaria was stunning. So green and fresh, with so much growing, we could not believe how lovey a place could be. The area we visited was over the other side of the country from the tourist areas, so in places nearly empty, as in drive for ages without seeing another car. On our return to the UK I did some Internet checking and found a property we both liked and bought it. A large house, a second old style tiny Bulgarian house (built over a small stable to help with winter warmth) , a large thin barn say 50 meters long by 2 meters wide, and old ruin called a summer house and all on about 2 acre's of land. All for the huge price of unbelievabley cheapness.
Since buying the place I have had the main house renovated, nearly finished all but the bathrooms. Planted 20 apple trees, 10 pear trees and loads of grape vines all down my fence line.
Hope this was not to boring to read.
