Hi all,
I'm looking for an 8 x 4 livestock trailer suitable for transport of 4 lambs. Ideally I would like to buy a second hand one, but could borrow or hire too. I'm picking up some lambs from Somerset and bringing back to Swansea. Any pointers?

I have one you might be able to borrow, depending on when you would want it, I do use it every week to take pigs to slaughter. I'm near Ammanford but the abattoir I use is Swansea way so might be able to drop off if timings suit? We struggled to find one second hand, they hold their value and don't come up for sale that often, got this one from CLH in St Clears in the end. Let me know if that's any help?

PS what lambs are you getting?!

Thats fantastic. We're getting castlemilk moorits. I haven't organised an actual date,and so far we have pencilled in 1st wk of Sept. Is the abattoir in three crosses? If so, its just up the road!

It's the one Penclawdd way, Hugh Phillips - had a falling out with 3 crosses! But still near you.

I'll be dropping a pig off there early Tuesday and picking him up on the Friday morning most likely, so can deliver and collect the trailer, is that any good to you? I don't need the trailer til the following Monday to prep for loading the next pig, so no probs if you need to use it it over the weekend and can drop it back?

Thank you so much. I have just emailed the seller of the lambs to see if next week is ok for him. Once I hear back, I'll pm you my address, if that's ok? What pigs do you keep?
