Old incubator
« on: July 15, 2013, 11:38:27 am »
Hello everyone

Just been to visit my neighbour on the farm next door and as we were chatting she said "I just found an old incubator in the house". After digging it out and having a good look I found its origional sale brochure too! Its a Hannaford 'Ironclad' parrafin model. Does anyone have experience of them? Its always nice to see old equipment and compare them to the new tech available. Thebrochure is marked in old money so I assume its pre 1971 ish?

To some of us mature people, 1971 doesn't seem that old. :roflanim:

many of the old gamekeepers used to hatch thousands of pheasants using big parafin incubators and a few of them probably still do. Once they're set up properly, they work fine and you don't have to worry about powercuts either. :farmer:
