We are on snake watch here after the large one we removed from our neihbours kitchen. I am a bit phobic of them but I don't share my neighbours intent to kill every one they see. the poor things are just trying to carve out a life and eat the odd meal - a bit like me really.

Nice snake.

Sorry but you can keep your 6 legged hairy crawlers and your wrigglies slimey skinned snakes.. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr  :innocent:

Spiders have eight legs which is how they are able to scuttle and why they are so scary. Give me a great big snake any day although I am getting braver and can hoover spiders myself now unless they are very big.

Oh MGM - don't vacuum them up.  Think what happens once they've disappeared from sight - whirling round and round, slowly suffocating in dust.  If you really have to kill them, then squashing them would be kinder.  But why not just catch them in a jamjar with a card over the top then flip them outside?

I can't kill anything, even woodlice which I'm terrified of but Murphy has taken to jumping on spiders and then eating them  :o  then I feel really guilty!
Those snakes really are beautiful Alistair  :)
