hi I got told last night that my tractor is hunting something like a stuck piston should I stop using the tractor and get the work done or not to worry about it
help needed please over what to do thanks john

"Hunting" is when the engine speed fluctuates of its own accord. Usually from idle. The cause is most likely to be fuel related and nothing to do with an individual cylinder.  A "misfire" is when one cylinder is not firing and causes a rough idle. If a misfire is intermittent then this could give the effect of hunting. Does the tractor stop doing it once you increase the revs ?

well I have just spoken to john deere and they have had a look at it and they said the fuel filter needs cleaning or new one at least it is something simple not major
