Storing and Selling Fleece Query
« on: June 10, 2013, 03:45:48 pm »
Was told by one of my fleece buyers this morning that I may have to obtain some form of a license in order to store, transport and sell fleece  ???
Hadn't heard anything about this before. Is anyone clued up on the issue?

Can't help with this - know a lot of people who sell fleeces, and I am sure they do not have a licence.  Is it something to do with sending it throught the post maybe?  Like if it broke open, causing a health and safety issue??  Well, we all know what funny rules are in force where livestock are concerned, so probably the same applies to their wool!!!

Yes that will be it  ;D .  The only other thing I can think of is that with many fleeces you're supposed to get an exemption from the BWMB.

Thats because you DONT need any licences for wool....just for skins as they are part of a dead animal!
